Emkhumbini SA Skills Trade Center is a non-profit organisation dedicated to combating unemployment and poverty in South Africa by equipping young individuals from underserved communities with essential, high-demand skills.
We focus on training in practical fields such as plumbing, electricity, construction, auto mechanics, and agriculture, providing participants with hands-on experience and opportunities to earn stipends while they learn.
Our mission is to provide underserved and disadvantaged youth with the opportunity to gain practical, employable skills in key industries, breaking the cycle of unemployment and poverty.
We aim to deliver impactful, hands-on training programs that equip participants with the confidence and ability to thrive in their careers and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Emkhumbini SA has achieved tangible results by training over 20 people in plumbing and electricity, securing employment for youth, and creating a profit-reinvestment foundation for continued program development.
Participants receive hands-on training, learning both
practical and theoretical aspects of plumbing and electrical work.
We aim to create a self-sustaining model by having trained
individuals build homes as part of their practical training.
After completing the training, participants are given opportunities to join our expanding network, gain employment, or start their own small businesses using the skills they’ve acquired.
